Well I'm in post-show depression stage right now. It's finally over and it was by far the best show I've worked on yet. Basically the people were just amazing and the show was fun. Despite the fact that it was a play, there was a good amount of singing and dancing, so we recorded a soundtrack. It features all the singing, some comedy, and the indie songs from in between scenes.

The YDN initiation was fun and featured me singing the "Ode to Acetaminophen", after that I snuck out to go to our improv show. It was a very very solid show and lots of fun. Of course after this weekend, now it's time for me to write my paper. So today I grabbed some books and sat down to start. It will be a long week, but I'll make it through. Till then!

No updates for some time now, but I'm back. Thanksgiving break was a cruelly short-lived tease before finals, but it's finally dawning upon me after finishing my first class of the semester (minus the final...minor detail).

The good news is that this weekend should be awesome! Friday is an on-campus VQ show which should be awesome! In addition, it is opening night for the play I did lighting design for, "Speech & Debate". Finally, it's also initiation for YDN, meaning that I will no longer be known as Contributing Photographer, but rather Staff Photographer.

Speech and Debate goes up this Friday at 8, then runs Saturday and Sunday at 6:30 and 9:00 both days. It takes place in Nick Chapel (theater in Trumbull), which is a smallish space seating 50-60 people. It has 20 dimmers, and 24 lights. Nice little place really. First, there's a new header image for the blog...can you find it before I run out of bandwidth? That means there are now 10 different images you could be seeing, who knows...maybe I'll even have a cameo in one sometime.

Second, Gahhh. Full Monty load-in has been all this week, it's slightly ridiculous how much time it has taken. A number of calamities have befallen the production, however it looks like tonight we will *finally* be done. This was my first time working in the UT (University Theater), which is the best theater on campus. After working there, however, I made a promise to myself that I will try to never do lighting design or be Master Electrician in that space...it just takes too long.

Issues aside, the lights are amazing. All 204-some of them. I haven't seen the show yet, but I look forward to it. Last weekend, I saw Rocky Horror Picture Show...it was strange...enough said. Finally, I have my first visitor this weekend albeit briefly!!! So that should be very fun, and a welcome break from all the theater work I've done this past week.

Really a variety of things going on this week in my life:

1. Mid-terms are finally over, and I believe that I am going to pass all my classes which is fantastic.
2. I am going to be Assistant Master Electrician on The Full Monty production here (Dramat fall mainstage)
3. I somehow ended up being the Lighting Designer for a spring production of Equus in OBT...more on that later
4. We have another Improv show this Friday...first on campus show. So hope that goes well!
5. And of course, with Parents Weekend coming, this weekend will be very busy! (Football pictures soon!!!!)
6. Speaking of pictures, buzz about Darq Knight is finally making it's way around the web. See my last post for more
7. Finally, there is a new HDR picture up on my photoblog, I forgot to check settings before I shot, so not perfect but hope you like it nonetheless...10 pictures total so far!

As far as Equus goes, I don't actually know what the play is about other than Horse Gods...weird. But it's in the OBT which is the smallest legitimate theater, so I am hoping that I'll be able to handle it. Nervous and excited for all of this!
